Strange Speaker Issue

Hello Everyone,

First post nerves, I have searched and found similar issues but none quite the same as mine. My speakers all work correctly in everything except for CD mode, When I am playing a CD only the left hand side speakers work??? Its a minor issue but a wee bit annoying?
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

I believe settings for the CD and am/fm radio are able to be set separately.

Next to your single CD slot in the front, there should be a button that says "tone."

I think if you press that, it should send you to the fader, treble, and bass settings for CD mode.

The fader settings will allow you to balance the sound to all speakers as normal.
Try Clicking the "Tone" button while playing a CD, and find the "fader" setting if it exists. This will allow you to correct your problem.

Thanks for responding I checked all the equaliser settings and they were all central, When I move the setting to the right the car is in silence. Seems to be whole right side is out? Very strange.

I have been searching further and seen mention of reseting amp? How do you do this?

haven't found the solution yet. Just happened a couple of weeks ago when I moved the changer from the stock location and put it in the glove box. I'm using a factory BMW cable and have it installed the same way. I'm assuming it has something to do with programming because I've checked all of the connections. I will update when i find a solution. I'm pretty good with the radio's in these...Also, are you having any problems with the in dash cd? I think my problems may be connected as my in dash cd has recently had problems reading disc's. It will read them start playing, go staticy and then report a cd error.

I'm not going to lie I didn't even know I had an in dash cd :-) I'll investigate this and let you know.
I recently upgraded my firmware to v32 might be linked?

Then it is possible you have not tried my suggestion.

The "tone" button I was talking about is located next to the dash CD.

Yes I have adjusted the tone settings, I possibly have a different unit to you as my tone button is on the right hand side of my screen. No sign of an in dash CD. The eject button moves the screen to display a tape unit I may well be missing the in dash CD then.

Tone is maybe something you need to address though?
