LED Tail Lights

Members. Just want to know your input on LED tail lights for an '03 X5 4.6is. I bought a pair online and tested them on the X. I didn't remove the original. I just unplugged the existing connector and plugged it on the LED tail light unit. The onboard computer kept lighting up saying "Check Rear Lights". When I try to brake, there are brake lights. When I turn on the parking lights, there are none. By the way, when I ordered it online, I specifically ordered an 2003 X5 tails. What I received the tails, box says for 1998-2002 LED tail lights. It's not even a 2003. Is it wise to change them tails? If so, how can it be done?

Check that connectors/wiring on the LED ones is the same as in your OEM headlights. I had the same problem and had to move the wire on LED lights connector to match the original wiring connector on my car.

I think there should be couple of posts here about this problem.

i ordered mine on ebay through zomkspeed. almost two years and no problems. i would return them if the year is off

hey JST. just tried gettin in zomkspeed website. their site is suspended at the moment. which tail lights did you get from them? smoked LED's? i already returned the ones i bought online because it didn't work and the year is not the same year. i wanted the smoked LED tails.
