GROM Aux installed. "NO DISC" reading

I just hooked up the GROM aux trunk kit in my 01 x5. I have non DSP, business CD with CD changer in rear. I connected the GROM kit to the CD changer plugs. When I push MODE all I get back is NO DISC. Any ideas?


Update: When I insert a single CD in the Business CD player up front, and can then go to my CD Changer option. But now with an ipod hooked up I only get mediocre sound quality on the left side. The 3-wire plug wires came loose and I've tried pushing them back in firmly but I'm afraid the connection is as solid as it needs to be. Not sure what to do about this
