Passenger side rear mirror sticks

My mirror does not always return to the normal position after adjusting down while in reverse. Is this common/ Is there a "fix"?

My 2006 4.8is does the same thing every once in a while...I can re-adjust it after I put it in drive and it works just fine...other times it returns to it's regular position on it's own.

Its a common thing mine does that. But do this also, for the mirror to return to its regular position 'frequently' make sure the adjustment knob is on the other mirror postion.... push it to driver mirror position. I noticed when I do this the passenger mirror takes its self back. But If the adjusting knob is on passenger mirror position I do think the car think you are yet to adjust the passenger mirror hence it does not move... kinda remains at revercing position.

Anyway my assesment....
