Help!
I have owned 5 BMWs over the last 10 years. I have influenced friends and neighbors to buy another 10. I bought a 2005 X5 4.4 with 39k miles and haved loved it for 2 months. For the last 5 weeks, it has been at the local BMW center waiting on a transmission wiring harness from Germany. They will not release it. Anybody know of an aftermarket source? It is hard to believe a company will not let you have parts for their vehicles!

Try Bavarian Auto Recycling Inc. (bmrparts.com) they may be able to help you.
If you just need connectors and contacts, the dealer should get that with not much of a waiting period. And do the repairs yourself with alot of patience. Mouser electronics has just about every connector/contact/and tools you might need. Good Luck

Have you resolved your harness problem? Is it internal or external? If it`s inside the trannie , Find out what type of trannie you have and try a transmission Repair Shop ,they may have it or may be able to get it for you. Keep in mind some of our trannie are used on alot of different cars.
