Also, in PIC1, if you are worried about the big space, in front of the White bracket, then that is a storage place for your tow hitch if you have a towbar installed..

Hi,

The jack is behind the wheel so assume the space in pic1 is for the towbar and space in pic2 is for the toolkit?

Tools fit in a little black bag that slides into the triangular wheel chocks... at least it does on my '06 3.0D

This is correct. Tow hitch is stored in that location when it is not used.
