Write up after 2 years

Another year went by, and another write up is due after this one i posted last year at about the same date http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...-one-year.html...

The X continued to drive strong and smooth, and had no major issues. This year i drove it for 6500 miles, versus 8000 miles for last year... the consumption average went down a little from 122 km/20 liters to 116 km/20 liters, mainly due to the nature of my driving: more city driving and less long hauls for this year...

As for repairs, the key went bad and got fixed for 30USD, the same CV boot i replaced last year got busted again, and the leaking pressure hose of the power steering got repalced... with the low labor wages here, it all got fixed for around 400 USD... that's more than acceptable! last year it had 200 USD in repairs, so it is averaging 300 USD in repairs per year... I can't complaint much.

This week end, i took the X for trap shooting, and we had to go through some off-road and mud as usual, the X doesn't feel at ease in such cases, but boy does it feel solid ... even in mud, i was surprised to notice that the X did not feel loose. The Motero and Pathfinder would feel somehow "flaoting" while the X was so implanted... maybe if the mud was a little deeper things would have gone ugly for the X, specially with the Vreds and their closed pattern that has no way of evacuating mud... Then the very next day, i took it for a 200km highway drive (longest highway in lebanon that covers all its coast) and the X was so smooth crusing at 140km/h...

In brief, with little maintenance, the X is offering tons of performance, trust, and fun to drive...
