window regulators replacement
New to this forum, went looking for info on window regulators from bimmerforums and found this lovely site. Anyways, We have a 2001 3.0i with a failed rear driver side regulator (our first one!) I've been searching for replacements and found this: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...QQB491714.html Has anyone use this specific replacement before? If so, how well does it compare to the OEM part? Thanks |

Welcome also the failed regulator club. I have had 5 replaced on my '02. Every window and the driver's side twice. All were replaced under warranty. Been clear since. *knock on wood*

Please help. I am in the middle of trying to reassemble my driver's side rear window regulator on my 2002 BMW X5 and I can seem to get the bolt lose that attaches to the bottom of the window. There's a white plastic clip that is between the glass and the plastic clip that is attached to the regulator (this is broken piece and is preattached to the new regulator). I am pretty strong, but I am afraid that I will break the glass if I try any harder to loosen it. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Bear in mind that I am not very mechanically inclined, so don't assume anything.

Ebay FCP Groton $60. Lifetime warranty. Just bought a passenger side rear and it goes in next Monday.
I have used FCP for many other parts. Great company. |
