BMW paint code / colour for wheels

does anyone know the paint code or colour generally used on bmw`s
I tried searching for a while but can`t find much info
I bought some Simoniz silver wheel paint but it looks grey .
any manufacturer colour close to bmw wheel colour will be good enough if anyone can tell me which to use .

I remember seeing Wurth wheel paint in the bavauto catalog. They have a clear coat too. Maybe worth a look.

I agree on Wurth...I used it once; works nearly perfectly in terms
of cosmetics/matching. "Less is more" on the application process, imo.

Wurth silver wheel paint works great. It comes in a spray can and matches perfectly. Use the clear coat to finish the job and you can get some great results.

thanks for the replies folks
I am aware of the Wurth paint as the best but I am trying to paint wheels this weekend and all the Wurth supplies are mail order meaning I would receive a delivery midweek .
I can`t find any stock nearby so I would use any silver closely matched
been driving around rubbernecking silver cars today to see which colour matches the wheels and the brightest silver I saw was a Mercedes E class .
I got a couple of tins of stuff I am about to try and if it`s no use I will need to accept it or postpone the refurb until I get some Wurth paint .

Mark , I repaired a chip on one of my style 87 with bmw touch in stick , titanium silver , just build up paint in thin layers , it does shrink just when you think you have the final layer but when it dries you see the need for another layer , you get there eventually .

the reason for this thread is to find paint for 7 series wheels I am painting , not doing a full refurb just removing some flaky paint around chips , rough up with a paint remover pad then apply new paint and lacquer . now painted with another cheap silver paint closer in colour to the centre caps , I am trying to avoid painting centre caps so I will lacquer coat my sample later to see if match is good , if not I will buy some Wurth paint as I have already used up the cheap silver and don`t want another 30-ish mile trip to fetch more .
