Brake Fail Safe...
I have been encountering quite a lot of problems lately...probably all related to my dying transmission. Driving yesterday night doing about 65 RPMs just above 2k. Felt a little jolt from the transmission ... RPMs went to over 3k and instead of Trans Fail Safe message the 'Brake fail safe' came on with the brake lights illuminated, DSC and battery. I pulled over turned the car off...started it again. Drove fine however the battery light won't go out... I replaced both the alternator and belt about 40k miles ago...currently at 130k miles Any suggestions?

Would tend to agree in that a weak battery causes all sorts of problems and error codes to appear.
