low beam out due to water in in control module

Driver side low beam was out. Disconnecting LCM would make it work for a short while. I also noticed that lens points to the left. Took headlight assembly out and found water damage on the control module. Replaced control module. Gears were pointing to one side. I centered gears and lens centered. Turned everything back and, lens moved right, left, up and down but end up to the left of center.
It was easy to find similar symptoms on the forum once I did know what to look for.
Questions:
Who had low beam out, water damage in the control module, what was replaced to fix this?
Can GT1 disable adaptive headlight option?
Is there writeup to take headlight apart/ motor out?
