On my X5 there is an evap solenoid on the right head, front of the block, (drivers side). The valve inside gets sticky. Every so often, I remove it and give it a shot of lubrication. I apply 12 volts to the solenoid "directly" a few times to cycle it. It is usually good for a year or so then it sticks again. The DTC is 0443. This can be read with an obd2 scan tool.

FYI. Took the X5 in to have the SES...issue fixed...it was 2nd air flow sensor...they replaced and looked over everything else. The X is in good shape now.
As far as the BMW emblem..."wear and tear" I know the S A didn't even want to tell me that...I was just like what? $65.00 to replace...I told her that if it comes off again I will get it replaced...I think it is good for now. Thanks for everyone's help... |

I think either the gas cap is loose or you need a new gas cap.
