X5 4.6is 03.....Random 3 BEEPS but nothing showing on console

I just bought my truck and just after i start it and drive sometimes for 5 mins sometimes even quicker it will be beep 3 times but nothing will show on the console....was wondering if any one else has had this problem LET ME KNOW IM STARTIN TO GET WORRIED....also just started beeping and showing me the EXHAUST TEMP on the console ..was wondering why this is happening now....havent had a chance to talk to dealer since it is the weekend here in vancouver

I didn't quite understand what you were saying with the exhaust temp. Next time you hear three beeps, look at the clock...it'l be one minute till. Perfectly normal.

The ice warning goes off at 3 C as the temperature drops, and it usually takes a few minutes driving for the sensor to trigger that, from whatever temperature the garage was at. If the temperature you are seeing is the exterior temperature, 3 C, then that is the beeping.

I am in Vancouver, and it started several days ago, for the first time this year. Then it snowed today....

The 3C temperature warning should ring a "ding" sound, not the 3 beep sound. The 3 beep sound should be the clock registering about 10 seconds before the top of the hour

Ok ...say the 3 beepin noise is the clock tellin me that the hour is almost up???
and i still dont understand why the exhaust temp will come up on the dash telling me what temp that it is at

The car does random things, it's a sentient being, don't make it mad.

When I was driving to school before Thanksgiving break, I heard a beep, looked down and the car told me it was 37 degrees outside. Useless, but nice information.

My friend related it to "Your car is telling you it's damn cold outside"
