New roof rails but no holes

Hi I bought some roof rails for the X5 but there is no holes to put them on
Do have have to drill the roof to find the holes.
Has anyone got pictures of how I do it.

Nothing in life is simple.

Thanks in advance

Are there not plugs on the roof? I thought the factory just plugged the roof rail holes when X5's didn't come with them.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Do NOT drill and tap, can you snap a quick shot of the roof so I can see what you're dealing with?

There are nuts welded within the holes that I capped. I don't think you're going to have much luck mounting them since I highly doubt those nuts are there since there wasn't a hole to fill for them to weld into.

I have been told they might be under the lining.

How hard is it take down the lining

Cheers Romal
