WHAT!!!! I can't believe they got the weight down so low! Must be all that aluminum/plastic used over steel... Impressive but I wouldn't expect it to be a tank like the E53 in case of a wreck.

My bet is those weights are kilos, not LBS for the new X3. If they got it to 1880 lbs, I'd race it! Maybe BMW finally figured out how to use unobtanium alloy. Then they could do it.

The F10 535i is 4090Lb (w/ automatic) compare to E60 535 which is 3700. BTW my E92 335 xi is close to 3800, and get this the front fenders are plastic already, can't imagine if they were steels. Don't understand how BMW is going to satisfy CAFE req't. The F30 will be bigger and probably heavier than E90 as well, seesh.
