Jack Height
I tried buying one of those bottle jack stands today, since I was driving around with no jack stand in my trunk and the original one is missing. However, I am not sure what height the jack must have. I have to pick between:
Weight/Minimum height/Rise height/Adjustable height 2tons/150mm/80mm/55mm 3tons/158mm/90mm/60mm 5tons/195mm/125mm/60mm The jack looks like this: ![]() Anybody knows what height it should be, in order to be able to pull out the tire? Do you need to lift the car corner a lot if you have the self leveling suspension? |

I would get one that has a max lifting height of at least 20". One of those "compact" 2-ton jacks won't cut it as they usually have a max height of 15" and change; trust me on this one, I've tried.

So the bottle type jacks are no go?
Also, are those 20 inches for self leveling suspension too, or standard suspension? The cushion of the self leveling will require a taller jack I guess. |
