Alloy Wheel refurb - What colour?

Hi,

I currently have a silver X5 3.0d sport which has the 19inch sport wheels. The are corroded on the inside and was therefore looking at getting them refurbed. However, not sure whether to go for the black look or keep them in silver.

Anyone seen a silver X5 with black wheels? Whats peoples opinions please

Car pics are in the below thread

Are you going to do it yourself? I did my lexus wheels and they turned out awesome. I have the same wheels as you. Unfortunately the wife.....well, you know that wives are attracted to street curbs, so I need to refurb mine when I put the winter wheels on.

I'd go for a medium gray, but not black. Just my $0.02.

I have seen silver cars with black wheels and I think its a great combo. Never seen a silver X with black but I can imagine it would come out nice. Personally, I am a fan of the black wheel look, some aren't. Whatever color you choose to do you can't go wrong. X looks nice and clean and those 19s will look nice in any finish. I say go for the black or a gun metal finish. It will make your X stand out from the rest, IMO

Thanks,

I quite like the gun metal grey and can see it complimenting with the silver nicely...

I have always admired the looks of Simoncpw's E53.(Ti Silver with black/dark rims) especially this mod:http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...d-morning.html
