photoshop? In real life you could not make any turn with such large diameter wheels on the X. Nice thought though!
I'd love to do my exhaust like that! The diesel version actually came with covers for the exhaust pipe holes in the bumper cover. So that eould be an easy fix to close up the holes either side. |

I always thought an X would be cool with meaty tires! Needs more lift and a safari roof rack!

I think the only lift that X5 has is accomplished by the increased tire diameter. It doesn't look like the suspension has been raised at all. The other thing about those tires is that they will destroy the fenders and wheel liners over any bump especially while turning. Unless the bump stops have been seriously extended and the steering stops adjusted that thing will need major body work if it goes off road!

I love the way it looks. I'm sure it destroys the fenderliners, but that's probably not a huge concern. Turning radius must be terrible too. If only he had the sport package he'd be really blacked out.

I think its real and looks pretty mean!
I'm thinking its heavily modified. Look at the exhaust area. |

Unfortunetly it's purely cosmetic. with those size tires, there is clearly zero suspension travel. Would have been better off with mud terrain tires that actually fit in the wheel well. Ground clearance only gets you so far without any articulation. It's just a novelty in my opinion. You would be better off starting with a solid axle Cherokee and completely modifying the interior.
Form over function (although it does look cool!). |
