Strange wind vibration noise at speed
I've posted about this before, but could not figure it out. When going approx 75 and up, I usually get a strange noise up near the cowl(passenger side, I think), like something is vibrating in the high wind in there. It sounds like a horrible trumpet player constantly blowing into the instrument and making that terrible musical sound. I have figured out that opening a front window when it is occurring relieves it from continuing. I have no clue what it could be. I haven't changed out the cabin filter since owning the X new in Jan '04. I have a new filter on order and am gonna try that to see if it helps. Has anyone else ever had anythiing similar to this happen on their X???? It's NOT the vents on the HVAC system, as I've tested those to no avail. I'm stumped. Steve |

Yes I've got the same thing happening on mine. Also I get micro droplets of water coming in the vent when it's raining. I don't know the cause of it ... will investigate one of these days when there isn't something more pressing to be done on the X.
