They look better than my 18s:

They're going on in a week or two. I really want 87 reps with snows, but I don't feel like spending 2k for a wheel/tire setup that I rarely use (I'd rather spend the money on refinishing my factory 87s).

Edit: 87s for comparison:

It's a shame they sit in a corner 9 months out of the year ;-)

Same winter set up as I have on mine for winter, it sure makes a difference when you go from 20-18. I keep my winters on from October-April so I am really thinking I want something a little better looking

You may have seen these from another thread, but they are HAMAR's. I think they look really good for a winter setup.

Naz - they look fine and it's still a BMW, the best looking SUV on the road.

I wouldn't switch from what you have now, maybe when it's time to replace the tires you can think about other options. I found a set of relatively inexpensive 19x8" wheels and put some 265-50-19 pirelli scorpions on them. They work quite well in the snow and not too bad in the dry, plus they don't look as pathetic as 18's. Also the 19's have better clearance with the brake calipers on the "is" models. The tires are about 1/3-1/2" taller than stock.

C4racer, My rear tires are almost at their wear bars. this is part of the reason i'm asking the question. Before i invest in new tires, i want to make sure i am completely
satisfied..

new question...I have the stock OEM Michelin Energy MXV4.. the fronts are in almost new condition, but the rears are almost shot.. Would i be better off buying 4 new SNOW tires? or just replace the rears with the Michelins again?

get 4 new snow tires - seeing as you are already making the 20-18 swap you might as well have the best winter shoes on there.

..Unless the ladies at C'nell are size queens (for rims).
