Strange smoke, worried to drive home...!
Noticed when I parked at work today there was a mild but very steady stream of white smoke slipping out through the front kidneys. Popped the hood and couldn't really find the source, seemed to be coming from between right above the radiator and below the plastic cover on top of the fan. All gauges normal, no warning lights, smoke had no smell that I could notice or identify. Visually checked coolant level, was good and no visible fluid leaks under hood. Drove a few miles and the smoke stopped at speed though I think I had more exhaust smoke the normal. When.I parked and shut the car off, a few moments later the smoke started again from the kidneys. Anyone experience this and recognize the description? Thanks in advance for any help... |

Perhaps check your electric fan in front of your radiator to see if it is binding, or smell around the center where it's motor is. It could be worn and trying to lock up.

Hope it's not the CCV situ, and the underhood 'smoke' was not oil smoke from valve covers or...
