Winter Tire Setup Work?

Hi There,

I have a 2002 bmw e53 x5 with sport package and winter is around the corner.
I also been looking at some winter tires and I see that they are expensive. I have the 19 inch rims, its 255/50/19 and rear 285/45/19 and I found a set of used pirelli snow and ice and they are all four 255/55/19 Is this setup possiable to run with rear and front?

i think hes asking if the 255 tires will fit on the rear wheels. I'm not sure, but i know you can get the pirelli scorpions in the size you need

255/55/19 tires won't fit on your rear wheels. I have a 2003 with sport package and couldn't find any snow-rated tires that fit the wider rear wheels. The sport package is not meant for snow and ice conditions, so your best bet is to buy another set of wheels for winter use only. You'll want narrower rims like 17x7.5 or 18x8.
