Thumbs up Two Thumbs Up - Performance BMW, Chapel Hill, NC

Ending in 4 thumbs down for these folks...see my last post...

So...my recent vibration thread...

I called the dealer Friday am, to inquire with my service advisor if she knew of any common failure points with the X5 that would cause the vibration...

She checked my status, and warranty expired *that day* at midnight. This was about 10am. She informed me if I got there by 3pm, and got the documentation, and a ride with the shop foreman and got it documented, it would be covered under CPO. She also said that they were booked solid, and couldn't look at the car until Monday, but that getting it into the system today was critical (obviously).

I arrived a little after 2pm, and the symptoms had gotten worse upon the drive over. Shop foreman went for a ride with me, and said "oh yeah...something's wrong, and it's not tires". He also said he'd never seen those exact symptoms before - that's a little disconcerting - but...

He also heard my intermittent HVAC blower motor squeak, and I"ll get that taken care of as well!!

Got back, did paperwork, and was waiting for my ride back to the house when my service advisor came out and asked for my license and insurance.

They managed to put me into a 2011 Z4, to boot.

SO...just an inquiring phone call at 10am, and at 3:30pm, I was headed back to the house (about a 40 minute drive) in a new Z4 for the weekend, and the car getting fixed under warranty.

Major thanks to Performance BMW in Chapel Hill, NC, for making all of that happen.

They've always been excellent to deal with, but this really cemented my overall ownership experience with them.
