license plate bulb removal.

i need to change the license plate bulb on my 2001 x5.
do i need to unscrew the whole panel, or just pry out the light cover with a screw driver?
i dont want to just go at it, and damage anything.
thanks.

Just pry the cover off with a flathead screwdriver. They pop out pretty easily. What type of bulb are you using as replacements?

Just did this yesterday - got a pair of error-free WeissLicht LED bulbs from Bimmian.com. They look awesome but unfortunately aren't error-free!

Anyone have luck with another make or brand? I'm looking at either an 8-LED festoon w/ built-in error cancellation ($12.99ea) on autolumination.com or Ziza 3-LED error-free bulbs ($49.95pair) on ECStuning.com

Any experience out there with either? Thanks.
