Code: p0491

My car just pull a p0491(secondary air pump) code, but the air pump is still working. Could it be the air valve? Thanks, in advance.

The valve or a broken line. It's been talked about a few times. Do a search and there are a few threads.

My X gave me the same code. Checked all the lines and the valve. Valve was working so I cleared the code and it has never been back on.

I did the search, but the problem is not the same.

Thanks, for the response. I'm thinking it might be the valve if the secondary air pump is working. Also, all my vacuum hoses has been replaced.

ahh i was gonna say check your vacuum lines cus thats what caused my code, i just had to snip off the end which was aged and slip it back onto the valve. free fix as opposed to buying a new part
