is my x5 supposed to have different tyre sizes front & rear?

hello, i have a 2001 x5 4.4, and i have noticed that on the front i have 255/50/19.
and on the rear i have 285/45/19
is this correct, or should they be the same?

Correct tire size(s) for staggered 19" wheels. And, rolling dia is identical...
you probably have Style 132s on your X.

Ah, good description...I'm guessing you have the Style 63 19" wheels,
and yes, they too have the "different" sized front/rear tires.
Same size as the Style 132s, and all is well, tire size-wise.
