No MID display, how to set time and date

My 02 3.0i sport has an after market stereo/sat nav fitted, the previous owner fitted it as he didn't like the OE tape player.

Anyway, today I removed the instrument panel so I could carry out the famous pixel repair, all has gone well, I've replaced the ribbon cable and the pixels now 100% work... however the time and date have reset to --:--, I've read the manual and it says you set the date and time using the buttons on the MID display... which I no longer have.

Anyone know of a way to set the time and date without the MID display??

Many thanks

Rog.

There is no way to set the time & date without the MID. The MID is the control unit for the CLOCK/OBC/TIMER/PHONE...it was designed as a central control unit for the aforementioned features.

You'll need to hook up another MID to reset the clock and set the time & date.
