How can I remove this panel so that I can get to my av in out plugs

Grip the sides and pull up hard! It just snaps down into place, but if it hasn't been removed previously will be kinda stuck. Soon as the surface tension gives way it pops up easily. Then the air duck pulls out easily as well, and you will see two screws for the air vent if you want that out of the way as well.

Which plugs? The cig lighter sockets are always hot, not off with key.

No sorry I want nav tv on the bk screens the the bk screens DVD player on the av channel on the nav if that makes sence

My cig lighter plug does turn off, it's only ON in "IGN ON" position (+12V is always ON but it is neagatively swiched). I fitted a DVD screen at the back and used the accesories power from the head unit. Good Luck
