Windscreen wash very low pressure

My windscreen wash seems to have very low pressure. The water from the jets comes out only to the bottom of the screen as there doesnt seem to be enough pressure for it to get to the top of the screen.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Most likely to be the filter which is located under the pump on the side of the washer bottle.Pull it out and clean it.

Or it is frozen up. Do UK petrol stations sell winter windshield fluid, or a summer mix?

You fill up with normal water and then buy and add the anti freeze if you want.

If it was frozen solid, true. If it was slushy, it can clog the filter. Since the nozzles are heated, it can still trickle out.

other thing to check is whether the nossles have popped out of the supply pipe - this happened on all my Xs both E53 and E70. What happens then is most of the water spills over the top of the engine compartment.
