wheel bearing and drive flange

Do you really need to replace the drive flange, which i assume is the hub, when you replace the wheel bearing?

the TIS says not to reuse and must be replaced when replacing the bearing. I never heard that before.

I use a special on car press tool to remove the flanges. I don't use a slide hammer. I have reused flange with no issues. YMMV.

TIS is right!Dealers here only fit bearing with flange as a kit! They stopped fitting bearing on its own ,years ago.
Even RealOEm.com states that bearing only available when bought with flange.
You can of course fit just the bearing (and some indys do!) ,its your choice.
Better job to fit the kit and easier to do.

How do u put it in as 1 piece when there is a clip that needs to go in the spindle to hold the bearing in?

Oh. It's been referenced here that people have bought the hub with the bearing pressed on already. I assumed wrong when I read your post.
