Which DVD shall we get: Hualingan, Bimmian, or Dynavin

Hello all,

I have been reading the posts and have seen good reviews about all of the above three units: Hualingan, Bimmian, and Dynavin. I understand they're all about the same with roughly the same price but are there any preference for a 2004 X5 (3.0) with the business CD player and no DSP. This will be a christmas present for my wife's car.

Thanks,
M.

I've looked at and evaluated (online) all 3. I personally liked the Bimmian one better.

How do you mean all functions? Doesn't Bimmian work with steering wheel controls?

Thanks,
M.

I haven't been reading up on all the threads about these units, so which ones will also be capable of displaying the MID information? Both my X5 and 740iL didn't come w/ stock navi or DSP. I've relocated the MID for the X5 into the glovebox and I've already got an AVIC deck in there, so the X is covered, but I'd like to be able to get a new deck for the 7 that takes over the MID controls since the MID in that car is almost unreadable...it looks worse that the one in my signature

The Hualingan has a bigger and better looking screen, the Dynavin has too much dead space above the screen.

So does the Bimmian version for the E38 via their website...looked odd.

None reads ibus data. So far, a carpc would be the only way to achieve that.

Anything not made for E53 will look odd. Even BMW's Nav made for E39 looked awkward on E53 as the viewing angle on E53 is different from E39. E53 nav screen is mounted at much sharper angle as compared to E39 or E46
