Aligning hood closure, a DIY job?
We have a new used 2004 3.0 and I noticed a weird problem- often when I try to pop up the hood, one of the two pins that latch it getp stuck I am not talking about the safety latch, but the two main latches that open with a lever under the steering wheel. It is especially annoying when I am driving alone in the snow and have to refill the washer fluid. Can the problem be fixed as a DYI job? What is the procedure for aligning them? Obviously I do not want to do something stupid and latch the hood permanently. Thanks a lot for the pointers.
