iPhone 4 integration- anyone else had issues?
My old Blackberry and Moto Razr worked just fine with the Bluetooth in my '04. Everything worked like a charm. But since I got my iPhone4 back in early July, I've struggled to make most of the Bluetooth features work. When a call comes in, the number or name of caller does not display on either the instrument display or on the nav screen Voice tags do not work at all, I have to physically scroll to the number I want to call on my nav screen then select it to make a call. Sure, I can say the name into the iPhone, let it dial and connect to the bluetooth, but that completely defeats the purpose of hands free. When I pull up a name on the nav screen, the first 4 characters of the name and number are gibberish, every time. So am I doing something wrong or is this just another one of Apple's glitches?

instead of the display reading " Ed Home" as it should it displays "[#Ed#Hom" and most of the rest of my iPhone contacts are displayed the same way. I may have figured out the problem though, still trying to confirm. Because the iP4 lets you store multiple numbers and email addresses for a contact, I don't think the BMW BT knows how to pull them up. On occasion I'll get a number pop up on my display, but it's a number that's not in my iP4 contacts. And some of the contacts are displayed without the gipperish, but those are contacts with just a single name and phone number. So I think the BT is confused by the iP4 contact software which allows multiple numbers for a single name.

reset bluetooth connections
Go into Settings on your iphone4 and remove all the bluetooth connections already paired. Go into settings and allow bluetooth and then restart the X5 and it should pair. This worked on my 6/05 production 4.4.
