well, you need a 2004 or later radio tuner to be able to use BMW sirius module.

you will need the OEM BMW TV module and either a Tv-Free or TvonNav module to allow the video to display while the car is moving. if you want to hook up alternate video sources or a camera, you will need an AV cable.

did you search the articles on the home page? they have detailed info...

Sirius is compatible with the earlier models as well (10/02+) - just needs a little work.

Tom, don't hold out on us here. What's the trick to getting the software on the 02-03 radio modules updated to support Sirius? I know Jan did this (see http://www.janixworld.com/x5/Sirius/), but this required inside contacts at BMWNA that most people won't have access to.

Keep in mind, I'm referring to NAV here. Business CD has no problem on the 10/02+ units.

The 10/02+ radios (as long as they are AUX capable) should be compatible as long as the NAV firmware is updated to v26. The input is already there, however the menus are incorrect on display.

I have not had a chance to test this, but am 99% sure it will work. If someone in the SoCal area would like to provide a tester, we will give it a shot.
