New to xoutpost.com from e46fanatics.com - input?

hey guys,

I'm brand new to these forums, although I have been a member of e46fanatics.com for quite a long time (same user name). I recently bought a black 2001 X5, and I'm super excited about starting the modding process!

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to purchase smoked tail lights. I've searched everywhere, and all I've found from a trusted vendor (JleviSW) is tint for the front and rear lights. They said they can special order the tint for me.

Does anyone have an input on where to get smoked lights?

Thanks in advance.

Update: It turns out JLeviSW cannot get the tint anymore. Their supplier is LaminX, and they have discontinued it.

Does anybody have a good experience with smoke tail lights from ebay? I found some from a seller called dotcomracing, but I am unsure as to their quality/fitment.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks! I'm actually very familiar with BMW, Bavarian, Bimmian etc. I've searched high and low and there just doesn't seem to be another option for smoked tail lights than ebay. If I have to take that route, I wanted to check if anyone has had any experience purchasing that product.

Take another look at bavauto.com. The do have what you are looking for. This is right off their site.

Thanks FSETH, but I was hoping to find something that's a bit more reasonable on the price. BAV Auto is great for certain stuff, but unfortunately, a lot of it is grossly overpriced.

Indianapolis, I'll have to poke around the forums and see what it takes to install LED tails on an X5. I know you had to re-flash for E46's. I was looking for normal bulbs initially, but depending on the difficulty of installing LED's, I may go this route.

Thanks for the welcome NAZ24!

No problem. Good luck with the search.
