Will X5 Mirror from Poland work for US model?

Hi,
I purchased a USA driver side mirror from someone in Poland. It looks like its in great shape. All the plugs seems the same, but when I plugged it in, it doesnt work. It doesnt autofold and the mirror doesnt adjust up/down/left/right. Its like no power going thru it. Could it be that people in poland drives on the right side so the connections are wrong? What I mean is that the maybe the wire harness for poland's left mirror is for USA right side mirror. If it is, is there anything I can do to hack it to work?
Thanks, Any help would be appreciated.
Calvin

Why? Because if you're not right, you must be wrong!

Also, we're not european, we're British. Our 'integration' with europe a few years ago was just a marketing scam by our wholesome, thoroughly honest, and upstanding politicians old chap!
