BMW OEM DVD Player PU-2595A - eBay (item 140503739669 end time Feb-20-11 12:27:49 PST) in mine its mounted between the rear seats to match the interior.
and it mounted vertically this says indash but it looks exactly the same to me. I see the same din plug and power harness wires

I'm gonna contact the seller and ask him to provide me with the part number to see if it matches the part number I have. Or if you are 100% sure it looks exactly like the one you have and you have the part number easy access for you I would really appreciate it if you could reply to me with the part number. Thanx a lot man! I love thus Xoutpost thingie because you guys are all awesome and very helpful! Thank you all for all the help and info you guys provide is!!!

I contacted the seller afor the part number for the dvd player and I didn't get a reply from him so I decided to take the risk and buy it hoping it will be the right one! hopully if it will be the right one and since you have the system already, can you please help me with the installation of this whole system? I got all the cables and the harnesses... I think I do anyways hehehe and it seems kinda easy but I don't see any wires for the power such as positive and nigative? I don't wanna bother you from now anyways, I'm just gonna wait when it gets shipped to me and it will be the one that I'm looking for then I will contact you again if you wouldn't mind? thank a lot man!!!

So like.. he didn't even bother getting back at you with a PN, but you still went ahead and bought it? Anyway, where exactly are you going to mount that?

Well yeah I bought it because My monitors came with the catalog and I checked picture of the player in the catalog and it matches the one on eBay perfectly, plus after what you told me I thought it had to be the right one! I'm gonna mount it in it's original place between the rear seats because like I said I have a complete system and it came with the mounting bracket that matches the seats, just like the one you have in you X5. But my biggest concern is I don't see wires for the power (positive and ground) so still not sure how am I going to power it up? There is a small slim 1'' long black plug not sure what that is for so I'm thinking that might be for the power but not sure where does it plug in? When I get your player I'm going to need your help if you wouldn't mind? Or I'll try to go to my dealer to see if they can provide me with the installation instructions

the black wire is a din plug it carries the audio and video to the main module that mounts up front. The power connector is the molex connector. Im a try and post the link to the manual on a file share site or something and see if you can access it then or pm me and i will email ya the manual. I recieved it from the original supplier to bmw he used to be on the forums..
