Liftgate handle gasket
if so, can you verify for me that this part number is indeed correct? 51137062294 it says part 28 on realoem.com RealOEM.com * BMW E53 X5 4.6is TRUNK LID/REAR WINDOW but part 28 doesn't really look at all like what i thought the gasket looked like.

i installed the new gasket yesterday, it's a small rectangle that fits around the harness connector opening. Does anyone know if this is the only way for water to get into the hatch/liftgate handle housing?
I noticed on mine that the 4 torx screws that hold it onto the liftgate didn't have any gaskets. I also noticed that after installing the new gasket, the handle sits a tiny tiny bit less snug up to the body. I think it's because the new gasket is not flattened like the old, but i'm not sure.
