ight gremlin on my 05 BMW X5 with adaptive and xenon lights

I have a light gremlin on my 05 BMW X5 with adaptive and xenon lights. We replaced each item one by one in the right headlight (the XENON BALLAST, IGNITER, D2S BULB AND AFS MODULE), nothing worked - unplugged the left headlight and plugged the right headlight into the left plug - it worked. Then replugged the right headlight into the right plug - it was still working. Replugged both headlights and turned off and on - light still working fine. Left the lights off of 10 min or so and when I turned the lights on the right headlight wouldn't work. Repeated the above senior, same results. Then unplugged both headlights and replugged the right headlight - it worked, until both headlights were replugged and left off for a short time. Could this be a voltage or ground problem. Is there another module which controls the voltage to the lights? Any help on this issue will be helpful, thanks Joe Stephens
