Fsr

Of all days today the first stage resistor decides to go in the middle of a snow storm. I had my poor wife at work in the snow pulling fuses. I had to leave work and fix it in her parking lot. Not a bad diy. Took about 2 hours with having to go get the part.

Dang...I was hoping the whole FSR problem was resolved with an updated part on more recent e53's. Was the the part you replaced it with the same as the original? I'm guessing my 2005 4.4 is also "at risk"??

I remember some posters that mentioned that they have had to replace the FSR more than once. Having said that my replacement has held up for 5 years but I expect it could go at any moment.

No air blowing out of the vents even when you turn to high. As I remember, only the windshield defrost will work but nothing else.
