Ipod?

Is there a way to play an Ipod on an X5 without an FM modulator? Dension IceLink Plus?? I have a 2005 BMW X5 4.8is. My dealer said that BMW does not offer an Ipod connection yet.

Your dealer does not like to keep himself up to date, Ipod/BMW intergration has been out for awhile www.ipodyourbmw.com However from experience I would stick with Dension IceLink

Since he has the 4.8, I'm assuming he has NAV. BMWs kit is not compatible with NAV vehicles.

That's why there is ice>Link Plus!

The Icelink Plus does allow steering wheel control, not sure about charging but I believe it does.

yes it does charge the ipod as well. with the latest firmware for the icelink plus, you can use both the steering wheel control and the nav dial to scroll through the ipod...

Icelink has some crazy reviews, so go with them for sure. Get the ipod installed in your middle armrest storage, easy, but a very clean look.
