Passenger window stuck down

My windows have been working fine, today I put the window down fully and now it won't go back up. It moves about a centimetre and I can hear the motor. Is it the regulator or the motor or something else???

Sounds like the clips are broken in the window and the regulator is jamming the glass. Open up the door card and have a look for broken bits of plastic at the bottom of the door.

do NOT operate the window until you get to the inside of the door - running the motor will tangle the cable, cut through pulleys and eventually kill the motor - you already might have to replace the regulator, even though the problem probably started with broken clips, as TT mentioned... the clips are about a $1 from a dealer in US (i ve seen prices from $0.94 to $5) but can't tell how much it is down under... there had been numerous posts about this, including the part number for the clip - 51338254781

Dude, just get a flat head screw driver, stick it towards the back of where the window runs up and it acts as a guide for the window to follow up.
