Ah ok Ill give that a try. Anyways, riddle me this. Who know... wait for it. How to put the air pump in the trunk back? I forgot how that stupid silver plate went. Does the molded side(The side that bumps out go on the inside of that cap or the opposite way? I've got it molded side down but nothing is lining up right and just doesnt look right. then again I thought my Throttle body didn't look right and it actually was.

Idiot alert. Never mind false alarm, the damn cover only fits one way. Just too anxious to drive it I wasn't paying attention.

FINALLY! She is done!!!Did a 20 minute warm up cycle(Drove it around my block a few times at 20 mph) then as soon as she got up to temp, got on to the parkway and let er rip. Took er at 55 just to get her legs going and after a few miles I padded her on the ass and ripped that throttle open she flew at 80. The huge difference I noticed was, I GOT THROWN BACK IN THE SEAT! See before you get on the throttle, the X would move but seemed like... Ummm.... it felt like the X was trying to go but just didn't have umph. Well after replacing 4 or 5 vacuum hoses, yup, that problem is gone. I was grinning from ear to ear. She's nice a strong and get this, no leaks.

Now I want to thank everyone who helped me. So thank you Heckler, Jst, hpia, and weasel! If it weren't for you guys, this project would still be stalled. Thanks again guys!

Great news, looking forward to your pics as I will likely get to this myself since I have 144k.

Heckler, if it weren't for you. Like We were talking about in our previous posts. That sum bitch would be hooked up to my Duramax turbo diesel and be shown a thing or two. But my X is still in one piece. I didnt think it would work, but what do you know, something actually worked! Weird how it does though.

Well thank you again! You know the hardest part of the whole job was getting the clips off and putting that damn splash shield back in. Stoopid clips.

Nice writeup

Looking back at your first post; Starting the job in the morning and cracking a beer later that evening rings sooooo true to me. No mater how well I plan, Dr. Murphy will throw me off course and it will take me at least twice as long as I antisipated.

Job well done.

BTW, what do you think is your estimated total cost?

How much of your time did you invest in the project (including time spent doing research, picking up parts, planning and execution of the job)?

Ummm lets see, parts was ~$550.00, time researching for parts, 1 hour, parts were shipped. Waited 4 days. Planning the job took 2 days to do research online and map everything out and execution was about 12 hours of total working time. the X sat 5 days but thats because unexpected parts needed to be replaced and they had to be ordered.
