Angry Preventing Stolen Mirrors

I awakened this morning to move my X5 and WTF "Dude where is my mirrors". They took the glass on both drivers and passengers side, needless to say i was pissed.....

It had me thinking while ordering two new mirrors from EBAY and while TAKING THE TRAIN, what can you do to prevent mirros from being stolen?

I'm guessing you live in the city? It happens a lot actually. There's a picture floating around somewhere of a custom made plexiglass box/lock around the mirrors. A little extreme but whatever it takes to protect your stuff I guess...

The blue x5 usually parks around that public school on 2nd ave e.16th st.

10 years outta the City, but what does one do with peeled out mirror glass?
The whole mirror unit, I can slightly understand, (but even that is wack)...
but ripping out the mirrors?

Maybe they need them for watching down the halls & decks on Rikers?
Crazy crap...

From what i see they can get a good price for them... If i can catch them in the act I will later need them to look down the halls on rikers island myself.
