How to drop rear wheel enough to fit suspension springs

How to drop rear wheel enough to fit suspension springs

Guys, I am swapping out the problematic rear air suspension for spring and have removed all the air suspension bits and now just need to fit the springs. The problem is that the is hardly any space to fit the spring with clamps attached and therefore need to drop the wheel arm to make more space. I tried unscrewing the rear piston, but this didn't give enough play and therefore can anyone assist?
