Confirmation of Spacers on 2003 X5 4.6is

Okay I've done some research on the types and sizes of spacers used on our X5's. My question is what is the appropriate size spacers to use on the front wheels that are stock 9.5x20 if you want to be flush with the fender If I decide to go with a square setup of 10.5x20 wheels then what would be the appropriate size spacers to use on the front?

bcredliner I tried contacting you a couple of times through the Xoutpost but I must not have enough posts to reach you. You are fellow near Dallas TX resident and 4.6is enthusiast. If possible I would love to catch up with you to check some of your Dinan mods and others. I leave in southlake just 20 minutes west of DFW airport. Anyway you can contact me at :[email protected] and we can exchange information. Hope you visit this board to see this post and respond.

Thanks in advance,

Jay

I have 20mm on the front, 30mm on the rear. The front is almost perfectly flush (see picture below). This makes me think that a 10.5" wheel in front would be flush with no spacer. I'll be installing a square setup next week, I'll update with more info if you need it...

Okay your stance is looking good. I look forward to seeing your square set up. I assume you will be running 315mm width tires on the front?

Regards,

Jay

Here's the link: 1998 2003 BMW x5 E53 "Brightest" CCFL Angel Eye Projector Headlights Headlamps | eBay

But read thru this thread first, Jay(RickyBobby) posted some useful info on them. Then need to be modified for xenons, as they come with halogen projectors. But definitely the coolest headlights, in my book...

So Matt if I understand correctly the new headlights that you suggested would have to be baked open to put in new projectors? I see you have EVO projectors. Are these a direct fit in? Just trying to understand what I need to make this happen.

Yes, they need to be baked open, and then swap over your HID internals, or install upgraded projectors. In my case, the EVO X-R's. They are AWESOME!! Jay (RickyBobby) did my retrofit, from what I understood from him, they are a direct swap. Then just transfer your ballasts, bulbs (preferably buy new ones), self-leveling motors, etc... Considerupgrading to LED angel eyes while the housings are open, since I didn't have very good success with the CCFL's...
