I picked up my 2002 4.4 with NAV 3 months ago. I believe it has the CD based system as opposed to DVD, and I'm guessing it's probably never been updated.
I'm a little confused on the updating. When you install an update, does it just update the roads, or does it update the actual look of the maps to a more modern design, and/or change the options/features of the navigation screens to a more modern design? What all can I do with my system with the updates, and where can I get these updates for a reasonable price?
I read through some of the articles on this site but that left me fairly confused
I'm never had a vehicle with nav before so this is all new to me.
