4.4 rear suspension lower on right than left
Great info on this board. This will be my first post.
Love my x5 4.4, but the right side of my truck is lower than the left which is obvious when viewing from behind and to me when i'm driving. Measuring from floor to wheel well, it is about one inch lower than the left side. I have no fault codes at all, and have had the suspension re-calibrated twice. Couple of notes: - on the rear end, i've replaced the sub frame mounts and think I started noticing the problem shortly afterwards. - both self levelling sensors were replaced shortly after the work as i rec'd the self levelling suspension inactive error code - I've had an alignment done recently to ensure that the problem isn't with the way the truck isn't sitting on the tires The problem seems to become very apparent when the right side of the road is lower, however when the opposite is true and the left side of the road is lower, the truck doesn't seem to proportionatly mirror the angle of the road. The suspension doesn't seem to gain or lose air, so I don't think it is a leak. Not sure what is going on here. Anyone ever have this problem? I've searched the web and this site a ton, but haven't found anyone with the same problem. Thanks! Jim. |
