Left Outer CV Boot torn
Anyway, should i replace the left entire axle (output shaft) or just the the outer CV joint? Which is easier and will fix both both problems? I have a 03 4.6.

Replace the entire shaft...in fact do both sides if you can afford it. The shimmy is most likely from a worn bushing or ball joint on your lower control arm and or thrust arm.
Good Luck!

Thanks. The thrust arms are new, looking to swap out the control arms soon. If the shimmy is gone I will inspect the CV joint and either replace the whole axle or re boot it.
