Radiator expansion tank replaced now car won't stay on

Hi everyone,

I am really stuck! I just replaced my radiator expansion tank (box) on my e53, after I found a giant crack on it this morning. Now, when I turn the car on, it won't stay on and basically it stalls. It gives me a "check coolant levels" warning...

I have double checked everything... the sensor is back on, the connections are secure and coolant is back in the tank.

Did I miss something here? Do I need to pressurize the radiator or something?!

Thanks a million for your help!
Patrick
